What do I wear?
Clothes...
The dress code is whatever you feel comfortable in - some like to dress up a bit, others come casual (jeans & top)- so wear what you feel comfortable in.
Shoes...
If you don't have dance shoes (and not many people have) we would suggest shoes with a "slidey" sole (i.e. not trainers or rubber soled shoes as they are "sticky" and can make turning difficult and lead to knee damage) ...
But if you are a beginner don't worry too much any shoes are fine for the first few weeks.

Do I need a partner?
Absolutely not. Experience has shown us that people generally become better dancers, faster, if they dance with lots of different partners – therefore it is our policy to rotate everyone around during the class. As well as improving your dancing this also ensures that if the numbers of men and women don’t match then no one is left standing on there own for long… and it is also a great way of meeting people!!!

Do I need to have any dance experience?
No – salsa is for everyone. Whilst dance experience might help you pick things up quicker, it may also hinder you (salsa tends to break a lot of ‘dancing’ rules… habits which can be quite hard to break). So – whatever you background I would just say – give it a try. The most important thing about salsa is to have fun.

Do I need to book?
Nope just turn up... We run our classes as "drop in sessions" - you come along as often as you can - if you miss a class, it's not a problem. We take people whatever level they're at and no matter how many classes they've attended before! This question is often asked by beginners who are used to classes that are run like courses, meaning that everyone starts on the same day and if you miss a class, you won't be able to "catch up"... We don't run our classes like that, so it's easy for you to come along and join in whenever you can!

Will this be a regular class?
Yes it is a regular class, and we will be catering for all levels (see... do I need to book)
